Posted - 09 Oct 2014 : 9:46:18 PM well I went to hoys for the first time yesterday, came back up this afternoon.
I have to say I quite enjoyed it . Obvious no arabs yesterday, was all mostly M&Ms. Quality of them were fabulous. M&M workers this am were very good too.
Spent most of my time at the caldene arena as that was where the show classes are......they so need to sort out the seating there! The main arena was practically empty, so why not have the show classes in there? They could make the arena bigger in the caldene area for the showjumping...that not many people want to watch. Or they need to put more seating in next to the caldene. We found a couple of seats at 8am and then when we saw how much of a fight it was to get some, we hung on to them all day, taking turns to go buy food/drink. Tickets included the evening performance so watched some of that then went back to hotel after watching a few jump.
I was well behaved too...only spent £52! Got my boy a new waved diamonte browband for his scottish championship dressage on saturday (and couple of other things).
I would go back to hoys again...think next time to see the coloureds (or would be nice to compete, lol)

Posted - 10 Oct 2014 : 7:00:36 PM No, sorry I missed them. I watched the workers in the caldene, then ladies hunters in the lg arena, then left for the long drive home before rush hour started. There were quite a few sec b's in the workers...they were very nice.
