Posted - 22 Oct 2013 : 1:41:23 PM Ahh what a year with Louis with different things going wrong. I was going to Australia at the beginning of the year before a bereavement in the family and I sold Louis to a family friend. 2 months later he was back at home because she found him unbearable and said he cured her of her 'arabitis'. She has had them for over 20 years but he was a nightmare for her. I jumped at having him back. Since then, he cut his eyelid open badly (now mended), had a serious cut to his knee from a kick (now mended) and last week had to have xrays because he had a lump near his fetlock. Hes not lame, but didnt want to ride him just incase. Vet has given the all clear. Before this he was playing up when riding so I had his teeth and back done, and now waiting for the saddle fitter.
He's escaped 3 times this week out of his stable just being bulshy. He drives me and mum insane however I do love him and he has so much potential. His last 2 owners have said he can pretty mich put someone off having a horse. Hes not all bad, hes very cheeky, and moves beautifully. I cant see him ever going anywhere however he really needs someone to ride him everyday as I work quite long hours and cant ride every day (abit of a dilemna). He is a project horse and im just going to have to perservere!
Ive been searching for another horse for a few months, without any luck of something suitable. Louis wont go anywhere, however I would love something to ride and enjoy. Hopefully something will come up. Where are all the big arabs!
Sorry for the rant, just he's drove me nuts this week!!

Posted - 22 Oct 2013 : 7:05:35 PM I have had Arabs for many many years , youngsters and brought Them on but can honestly say Louis is a huge foal in his head. All I hear Is Louis don't do that lol. He could honestly drive a saint mad but for Some reason she adores him. He is a big boy but god does he move. You can see the potential but its just getting it out of him. I reckon by the time he is twenty five he will calm down and be the horse That she wants
