The last couple of days I was thinking about good advice's showing your horse and I posted the results in a german forum today.
But I guess, these advice's will count in england as well. 
01. Make sure, you had enough sleep on your big show day.
(stay away from your mirror until 9 o`clock)
02. Arrive at the stable early - just in case, you need further time, getting your horse pretty.
"Look at you - you are completely dirty!!"
03. Take your time for a relaxed trip to the showgrounds
"Well, she had her chance getting into the float"
04. Learn to love your competition number
...maybe it will demonstrate your self confidence later...
05. Just before your show class, try to get your horses fully attention!
...some supermarket plastic bags may help.
06. Make sure, you horse is well conditioned...
07. Hopefully, you are too.....
08. Never ever use any illegal training methods at home...
....cause the show will tell !
09. Make sure, your horse stands still during the presentation
.... it doesn`t matter how you reach that point.
10. Even if your show class is running 5 hours too late - make sure, you have a relaxed trip home...
...never ever think of any plans afterwards!
"Well, when will she start driving me home ?"
Good luck and start trying for 2014 now!
