Posted - 12 Oct 2013 : 8:08:52 PM Hi Mags -I'm in West Sussex, the South. I know what you mean with knowing when you've found the right one/type. I am however looking for a type that would do well in endurance. I'm better at knowing what type I dont' want! Sometimes its the horses that tell us. Good luck.. |

Posted - 12 Oct 2013 : 3:03:43 PM I too am still looking for an arab but mine doesn't need to be grey - any colour but so long as it does not have 4 white socks or pink heels please. Its a shame we both dont live nearer each other as we could go together because think we are looking for different horses! I'm 7 stone so can go for a 14.2 no problem as long as it was substantial as i am 5'4 so long legs! I want an arab with a purposefull active walk, one of my important things, as want to do endurance with him/her so want forwarthinkng attitud and kind but not too quiet and cuddly! If I see any greys along my searching that would suit you better I'll let you know. Any more info on the type you want age etc?x |

Posted - 12 Oct 2013 : 08:39:06 AM Mags, there is a shagya arab on preloved, 16.1 grey gelding schoomaster...just do a search on "shagya" and you'll get him.
Shagyas are a kind of subset of arabs -- I love them -- but the tend to be bigger and chunkier than other arabs and some say they are 'steadier', though I guess that depends on the individual, of course!
What fun to horse shop.... :) |
