Whose got this mix? My gelding is about 75% Crabbet and the rest Polish and Shida was 80% Crabbet rest Polish. I really like the mix and the it's funny that although Ishara is Shida's half sister they are nothing alike but Beau is incredibly similar to Shida to look at and to ride.
Lets see some pics of your Polish/Crabbet. One day i'd like to put Ishara to a stallion with Polish as well as Crabbet but that's a distant dream at the moment. |

My girl Dulciya is Crabbet 84% and Polish and definitely a performance mare rather than showing. She was bred at Harwood and her sire was Kasadi. She does endurance and loves it.

LOL Joanna! It shouldn't be hard to find a pure Crabbet with performance credentials!! Iman was one of my favourite stallions!! And Caroline would have definite ideas as to what suits her!! Go for it!! |

Lexy is Polish X Crabbet/Old English. Her sire Egaan is by Balon x Ega and her dam,Red House Kashala, is by Nashaal out of Karamea. |

Caroline has retained a breeding from her so hopefully one day she will have a pure crabbet. I'm not really in a position to breed myself but you never know what the future brings so always nice to daydream. Currently trying to bring her back into work after her accident but not sure she's going to be rideable yet in which case next year she might have to have a baby. If I did do it myself whatever I put her to would have to be a proven ridden performance horse regardless of bloodlines though as it would be for me to keep and ride. |

Joanna, I hope you can be persuaded to breed Ishara to a pure crabbet stallion in the future as 100% crabbet numbers are so low they are critical. |

Sounds like lots of riding horses have this mix. Misteri my boy sounds like your chap as from an arab point of view he would described as plain in the head in that it's not dished from non arab people he gets complimented on his head all the time but he is unmistakably arab in his body. Ishara is pure Crabbet and actually has a prettier more araby head but typical Crabbet body. Interesting to see the different blends. |

I had a family that were 86% Crabbett, 10% Old English and the rest Polish. They were great at performance with wonderful temperaments. I only have Milly left (29 years old) and Sarah Nundy has her son, Ramak Gold, and another friend has her daughter, Samira Gold. They are performance horses. |

My little fellow (Divine Spirit - Star of the Seasons x African Baroness) is just over 80% Crabbet with the rest Polish, Russian and Egyptian lines through Maleik el Kheil and Eurydyka. So his tail female line goes back to Milordka. Strangely enough Ziad who I lost had the same tail female line to Milordka. So far though very green he has not put a foot wrong ridden and having sorted his back and given him time to come right he has the same ground covering athletic paces as Ziad had and is also just as sane and sensible when ridden. On the ground though he is unfortunately a bit more problematical, having had I suspect a bad year before I bought him, gnashing teeth at one end and flying hooves at the other. |

My 2 year old boy, Crystal Heartbeat is 84% Crabbet. The Polish comes from Bask and Partner. |

Harry is around 87% Crabbet & the rest Polish. He was a great athlete and is now retired but still catches the eye when he goes out of the yard. He has a great presence and carries himself like only an Arab can. His head is a little plain but the physique is phantastic. He was gelded otherwise he would have been great to use for breeding endurance, unless the gelding calmed him down so much.
I don't believe that you can predict the outcome of any breeding, but with a good blend you get great horses sometimes.

My Roger is 93.75% Old English (of which >90% is Crabbet) and the other 6.25% is Polish through Grojec.

I think Robbie is about 85% crabbet and most of the rest polish. He's on allbreed pedegree as robbie18 if you want to look. |
