Posted - 23 Feb 2013 : 1:01:44 PM I cried when I had a very very nice colt gelded, but it was best for the horse. Your doing the right thing and in time you'll wounder why you waited so long to do it. |

Posted - 21 Feb 2013 : 2:01:38 PM I know, he will be so much happier not having to stay in and scream at everything that walks past. One livery horse got out the other day and of all the horses to go visit it went to my boy, you could just imagine who would have got the blame if something had happened!!!!! Best thing I can do for him and he'll still be a cracking gelding |

Posted - 20 Feb 2013 : 1:11:27 PM Donnakebab it is the main reason mine was gelded other liveries and stallions is not always a good mix, I had a nightmare at one yard 4 or 5 people decided my horse was a danger and complained so much, yard owner stopped me turning him out unless I was there, he had never done anything to suggest he was dangerous also most do not have proper fencing for stallions which can be a worry and they should be turned out in my view, I ended up moving to a better yard had him cut then backed him, your doing the right thing he will still be lovely. |
