I have just noticed an advert on a new forest website for a 14.3hh 4 year old gelding. The ad states the owner has literally run out of money hence only asking 500 pounds.
Must be horrible to be in such a position, I know it would break my heart. At least they are asking for more than meat money. If you know anyone that might be able to help, please pm me and I will give you advert details but please, please, please, only contact the owner if you are in a position to help, not just to get more info.

Thanks for the update offira. We can all rest at ease now knowing the temptation has been taken away and hopefully he will have found a lovely new home. |

I phoned about him and he has been sold. He looked absolutely lovely so hope he has found a good home. |

I can't see him either. I am currently looking for another to purchase and I can't seem to find anything suitable! It seems when I wasn't looking there were lots, and now I am I can't find anything suitable lol. It's supposed to be a buyers market at the moment..I'm not so sure. I do hope this young chap finds a lovely home. |

I have had to stop looking at ads now, I really feel for people in that position, he sounds lovely, I do hope he finds a loving home. |

Caro, he is rather lovely and black as well. I really must stop looking on that website as its quite scary how cheaply horses are being advertised. Do you have the space, time and money for him? If so, I'm jealous. |

If you wanted to ring the advertiser, you might suggest that they contact the gelding's breeder. The breeder might very well take the gelding back and re-sell for the owner, or even buy it back.
I'm not a breeder but if I saw one of my previous ponies for sale, I would want to know about it and would very likely buy it back. I've even written as much in the passports of the ponies I am thinking of. |
