Posted - 17 Feb 2013 : 8:39:08 PM Back in December I found my boy a loving new home, as my partner had a job offer in Australia. The world works in mysterious ways, and unfortunately my partner lost his dad all of a sudden 4 weeks ago, aged 53. Travelling plans now no longer..
Anyway, my mum had a txt earlier today from my boys owner, saying she's going into hospital, and how they are all unable to cope with him. He's been doing 'naughty' things which he has never done before....so im buying him back and he's coming home.
They are lovely people just unable to cope with him, couldn't bare the thought of him just landing up anywhere so he will be back by the end of the week..Ive missed him ...The mucking out starts again!

Posted - 18 Feb 2013 : 7:11:53 PM I think many arabs have to end up with made to measure, mine was too narrow too although fitter kept saying it was too wide so ended up with muscle wastage, so I have a really wide one made by a brilliant woman who believes most makes of saddle are too narrow for most horses, so her saddles encourage the back muscles to grow a bit like Balance saddles.
Sounds like he was being a bit naughty bless him, I am sure he will be fine once he comes back if you never had any problems with him. |

Posted - 18 Feb 2013 : 1:14:22 PM It was a nightmare trying to find a straight cut saddle which fits. He is very wide, and only my mums geldings saddle seemed to be wide enoguh for him. May have to go down the root of one made to measure this time, as the thought of going through loads of saddles again stresses me!
He's been very bulshy, dragging people along, kicking walls, a general nightmare. They were worried he's going to hurt someone..strange thing is he was never like that at home, yes he needed to be put in his place every now and then but never dangerous or agressive towards me. Maybe it was just his way of asking to come home, although sounds like a routine is needed as soon as he's back. |
