Posted - 25 Oct 2012 : 6:04:01 PM Well I cannot believe this forum is not on fire with this result..??
The stunning CR Jasmeenah (WH Justice x Fforget-Me-Not) was awarded Champion in the Mares Eight and Over class —with the highest score EVER at U.S. Nationals! Kudos to owners Al Jassimya Farm, Doha, Qatar, and to Michael Byatt, who showed her to the win! Photo by Suzanne Sturgill.
Have you guy's no interest anymore in the achievements of home-bred horses?
Or is this forum now all about 'what girth to buy '

Posted - 28 Oct 2012 : 08:20:34 AM Fantastic acheivement! Beautiful girl! How nice that she was shown kindly. Ditto what everyone else has said about the negative points of showing, especially in the US. I think its appalling how SOME horses are treated when showing so personally I wouldn't have watched even if I knew about it. Sorry if that offends, but its just my opinion. |

Posted - 27 Oct 2012 : 12:03:49 PM Personally I think there is room for everything on this forum - thank you for posting and drawing our attention to CR Jasmeenah's triumph |

Posted - 27 Oct 2012 : 07:45:57 AM Exactly..!!
Nothing appears here anymore but...'what saddle' & 'what girth' and why? because they want to have a go at 'SHOWING' so it should be a big part of the forum...there are plenty of other sections for general chit chat..!!

Posted - 26 Oct 2012 : 9:58:37 PM I think there are so many more interesting things about the Arabian horse than showing,to say that true blooded Arabian owners are only those into showing is like saying horse riding is only .......(fill with anything you choose,Dressage,SJ,Reining and so on) and nothing else.

Posted - 26 Oct 2012 : 5:08:32 PM Great result! I've been working Nights and only just catching up. I personally don't comment on showing threads anymore as I have said all I care to on shanking and bagging; however if the horses were shown sympathetically then bravo.

Posted - 26 Oct 2012 : 4:08:21 PM I don't think you can 'watch again' unfortunately.
There's a pic of her though: http://www.ferraraphoto.com/12USN/3094/12usn_22075.htm
I love how relaxed she is. I didn't see her in the US nationals but I did watch the livestream of the worlds and she was a beacon of graceful calm in, well, a typical arab in hand ring. So the fact that she has won in the states is, as I say, huge news.
And as for where you'd put a saddle, it would go on that strong back somewhere behind that stonking shoulder, in front of that lovely bottom and long second thigh, and you would be carried in wonderful self carriage by those beautiful straight legs
I'm a bit smitten TBH and not just because I've got relatives. |

Posted - 26 Oct 2012 : 4:01:35 PM Well done she is a lovely mare, I to were shocked this year no mention of the international show results, and many more didn't get a mention I think its a shame I used to look forward to looking at peoples show horses and results on the showing forum but hardly anyone posts on there anymore |

Posted - 26 Oct 2012 : 3:40:26 PM Hi all
Could not agree more, you would not even know this was a forum for like minded Arabian owners..just horse owners..!! sad it's gone this way but I think that the true blooded Arabian owners have departed for Pastures New...hence no feedback anymore...or anything interesting to be honest..!!

Posted - 26 Oct 2012 : 3:11:58 PM Congratulations to Jasmeenah and her owners, an amazing achievment. It used to be lovely to hear/see results on this site, but alas no more. I feel that no one is interested in anything other than girth buying. |

Posted - 26 Oct 2012 : 09:27:09 AM My internet isn't fast enough to watch it sadly - have to keep up with it on FB - an amazing achievement for a beautiful mare.
You are right though Jaybird, you used to get results on here for all the shows national and international. Sad really. |

Posted - 25 Oct 2012 : 9:02:55 PM Well done CR Jasmeenah! Love her breeding (dam side alot). Although, honestly, i would rather talk about girth size than watch some of these lunatics show horses.
Ed for spelling! |

Posted - 25 Oct 2012 : 6:43:06 PM This is huge. For a non-shanked British bred arab to even get close to a win in the states would be an incredible achievement. To win is just fantastic. Spud and Felix are very proud of their beautiful niece.
Nb The livefeed from the US nationals has been interesting - they've had arabs cow-herding in ring two. Twas cool |
