just wanted to share as i'm sooooo proud of Fargo  hes our traditional cob x tb who we have had from birth. hes always been called the ugly/oddbod/common/scrawny one by people who have known him since a baby. obviously we have always adored him and with him being a late foal and having badly reacted to being gelded we knew he would shine but would take longer than most.he went to one show as a yearling but got told the usual 'hes very immature' and 'you need to get more condition on him', so we haven't bothered since. so on Sunday we decided to take him down to the local show as although he is lacking a little muscle tone from being out of work for a couple of months recovering from a shoulder injury, he is looking ok (hes just turned 5 yrs now). well he only just got a second and a third and behaved like a pro!!! he walked all the way there, did his two classes ( tb/part-bred/riding horse type and potential driving type) and then i rode him home. he was a super star. it might not seem much to others but he made me and mum the proudest horse owners on the show ground

of course we dont think hes ugly.lol. its what freinds/people we know have nicknamed him over the years  |

we really are over the moon with how he has matured. looking back at the first pic he was very lean but you would not believe what he was eating. he just never seemed to hold weight or fill out till this year.he was that good in the ring and stood up that well that the judge didn't even mention/notice his little splint and small curb.lol.hes a cracking boy and we love him to bits |

Congratulations! I don't really think he should be called the ugly one - can't be doing much for his self esteem, and besides it's just not true! |
