Posted - 02 Oct 2012 : 10:54:22 AM I've put an ad on the wanted section for my 5yr old stallion & 11yr old mare. I have someone coming to view my mare as a potential endurance horse but wondered if any of you would like to take my stallion on ridden loan for two seasons or so. I've recently been diagnosed with a form of ME & need to reduce numbers for a while. I have no rider for him & its a huge waste. I hope its ok to post on here. If anyone is interested please pm me. Thanks. |

Posted - 12 Oct 2012 : 09:52:08 AM Quick update. I've been confirmed as having Fibromyalgia which has similar symptoms to ME but not as severe. So long as I follow my doctors advice to the letter I have a chance to recover up to 90% which is pretty good. I've managed to loan 6 of my horses which will help lighten my load over winter & I have help arriving soon so hopefully this will help a bit towards my recovery. Gina. |

Posted - 04 Oct 2012 : 9:55:10 PM If you rest it does help, its just a way of your body trying to slow you down. Really wish you were closer, would love to see you horses. Maybe next year !!! Good luck with your special boy x |

Posted - 04 Oct 2012 : 9:51:06 PM Hi Liz. Yes its Kheil. Ideally I would prefer that he stays on my yard so I can help whoever loans him & he's such a special boy. What I have isn't as bad as ME but has similar symptoms. I've felt like I've had flu for about 2yrs!! My doc said I just need to slow down for a few months so that I have a better chance of recovery. Its so frustrating as my horses are my life & I will hate to see some of them go but at least its not forever. |

Posted - 04 Oct 2012 : 9:43:06 PM Is this Kheil? If so, someone will be very lucky to have him on loan, he is fabulous! I don't have the money or space to keep a stallion, otherwise I'd be biting your hand off Gina! Hope you recover soon from the ME :( |

Posted - 04 Oct 2012 : 01:26:48 AM I also have suffered from it - spent a year bedridden, so I know how bad it can be, on the plus side I have been 90% recovered for years, so there is hope. Have you tried advertising on the Endurance GB website for potential loanees? Wishing you all the very best with both finding loving loan homes and your health. |

Posted - 03 Oct 2012 : 9:42:38 PM OMG Alan, i feel for you regarding M.E, i was diagnosed with M.E 15yrs ago and know exactly where you are coming from. When i got so ill that i was bedridden for 18mths i had to give my beautiful Nia Shadow to a friend who took care of her until she died last year at 22yrs. I'm so lucky that i have a fantastic hubbie, family and friends who are always around to help me. you will get good and bad days but as long as we do right by our animals, that's all that matters. Family will be there for you unconditionally i'm sure !! |
