Posted - 22 Apr 2012 : 10:06:43 PM i use the saddle company saddles , as the gullet is fully adjustable by the fitter to fit any horse and has lovely soft serge panels, so great for young horses,, mine use to fit my old girl who was med/narrow and now is adjusted to fit my 9 yr old girl who is wide fitting,, i got mine on ebay for around £250 .. i love them as dont have to keep changing saddles just get them checked by fitter 2-3 times a year,, |

Posted - 22 Apr 2012 : 8:18:56 PM We backed Ari in a Wintec cos light, fit him and did the job. He has a Lovett & Ricketts event wide now that feels so safe and comfy and suits him very well. I ride moorland uphill and down never had a problem. Quality leather and so well made. I have ridden in a WOW and they are very nice and so good for horses that are not easy to fit. |

Posted - 22 Apr 2012 : 7:47:01 PM Thanks kharidian, i have a wintec but didnt feel it suited her enough to be happy with it. It has the widest gullet and is bordering not being wide enough. But she is a lot wider than if id done it last year when three, it would have been ok then
I like the idea of a WH though, would be more off her shoulders then |

Posted - 22 Apr 2012 : 7:41:10 PM Roger has a Derby House Samber (WH), it's a Wide fitting. I've been VERY lucky with him as its only his second saddle! I was recommended to get a Wintec adjustable for Chips for when I back him in the autumn - I bOught one very reasonably from eBay so I just need to wait for autumn when he's three and a half!
