Posted - 16 Apr 2012 : 09:42:44 AM Just over a year ago posted to say how pleased we were that barefoot Salladin with his go faster trainers (renegades) was back doing endurance. Think we'll have to name them go further trainers, as yesterday a very tired, but still willing Salad completed his first 80km ride. Icing on the cake was a grade 2, despite being very tired he somehow managed a heart rate of 45, and this was vetting within five minutes of finishing in freezing conditions. Though the combination of a very sandy course and the hoof boots did produce some rubbing for the first time, so next stop glue ons! (you're supposed to dry the hoof with a hair drier prior to gluing apparently, could be interesting!)
Salad waiting to start and trotting off.
