Posted - 15 Apr 2012 : 8:03:04 PM I sent Roger away for 4 weeks to be broken to harness as a 4 yr old, after I had done the pulling tyres behind him/long reined in harness etc as I had never actually driven before. I agree with Garnet - go for it!

Posted - 15 Apr 2012 : 7:11:02 PM Yes, I trained Red to drive after I had already broken him to ride and been doing ridden showing/dressage for several years. Everyone told me that he wasn't suitable and I shouldn't attempt it but at his first driving show he qualified for a national championship at Towerlands and at one of his last shows before I became ill he swept the board, winning all four of his classes and taking a championship and two reserves. Go for it! |
