Posted - 13 Apr 2012 : 2:16:03 PM Hi everyone
Not my arab this time but my TB ...
About two weeks ago, went to the stables in the morning and noticed my TB (who has a fleece on) must have been sweating like mad over night ... he was drenched and the fleece literally had water on top of it! He seemed fine though about from him being rather wet, he wolfed his brekkie down and I kept them in for the day with nets (again started on these straight after brekkie) ...
Was fine when I came back that day.
About two days after this I noticed a large bump on the bridge of his nose (on one side) about 2/3 inches below his eye ...
The next day I came back and literally on either side of his face just behind his cheek was bald!!!
Spoke to the vet who thought perhaps he'd knocked himself and to keep him updated over the next few days. He wasnt in pain when I touched it, theres no discharge coming from his nose ... eating as normal!?
Anyway, a week on bump is still there (no bigger, no smaller) and vet is saying he's either knocked himself as we originally though, a tooth root infection or something wrong with his sinuses ...
I've attached a photo - vet is coming out to see but just wondered if anyone else have ever come across anyhting like this?
