Posted - 21 Nov 2011 : 12:22:58 AM Just back from British All Breed National Foal Show where our boy ViVanchez BK (ViVegas x Minnie Pearl) went Arab Champion and then amazingly Reserve Supreme Light Horse Champion! 56 classes and we presented for the final 4 horses! An incredible day - thank you to Miles Buckley for producing him, Andrea Taylor for letting us use the stunning ViVegas, Sally Roberts for introducing me to his mother several years ago, and Belinda Anderson for convincing me to go halves on her :-) What a day! x |

Posted - 24 Nov 2011 : 12:36:21 PM I agree and would encourage all arab owners and breeders to support this show.
The satisfaction of Reserve Supreme Light Horse Champion over the others (who you rightly say came from massive classes) made the day for us. It's not often that we get the chance to compete our pure-breds against other breeds at this level and we should embrace it. Incidently, we had picked the Overall Champion out much earlier in the day as one to go all the way - a beautiful classy partbred arab colt who well deserved his prizes |

Posted - 24 Nov 2011 : 11:16:27 AM Very Well Done.........still so very disappointed that the Arab Owner/Breeders do not support this Show and sadly we now have to consider dropping the Arab Classes due to lack of interest
All other Breed sections were well supported (2 classes for Shetlands having 28 entries)...amazing!!
The Show gathers momentum with each passing year and we feel with only 1-3 entries forward in each of the four Pure Arab classes, asking Judges to travel and officiate with such a small turnout is hardly worth their time and effort.
Please.....Owners/Exhibitors...make real effort to support your classes, otherwise these classes will be dropped from the schedule
Incidentally, the Overall Supreme of Show was a 75% Arab....which does prove Arabian bloodlines can hold their own at a prestigious all breed show
