Hi all, thanks for such a warm welcome to AL. Will certainly post some pics of my Arabs, especially Soffie when I get to grips with the how. Monte Carlo is certainly following in his Auntie Soffie's footsteps, decided to do some showing a local level this year and he has won his breed class nearly every time out and also done well in the youngstock classes. Unfortunately disaster struck at the end of August, some b******s stole our battery and charger and he went through the electric fence and ended up wrapping it round both hind legs, thought infection had gone into hock joint, lots of antibiotics and dressings and then major op as infection had tracked back into his extensor tendon, finally home and on the mend, but no more showing as he will be left with scars and proud flesh, but the main thing is we still have him. I also have a Welsh Cob gelding who is 26 going on 6, a 4 year-old mare and an 11 month old colt, so even though I am retired I am kept pretty busy. |
