OMG, how could you say she was an ugly duckling as a foal? You could see her wide forehead, short dished profile, large & low-set eyes and little muzzle....not to mention her curly ears.

aww thanks, I have been trying to find a similar picture of her dam , bacause yes she IS a living image of her , sadly Shani is no longer with us , but I see her every day in her daughter and grandson, also a living image
this is Shani with shaheena as a baby, I used to have to platt her forlock sometimes as it was so thick! ( not in the fly season though)

 and that's not so muddy,mine is plastered with mud during most of the winter,I think i could buy some seeds and grow some nice green grass on his back... |

Very beautiful lady, and what a lovely kind and knowing look she has. Sunny day in Yorkshire yesterday so rugs off and both mine blathered in mud and very happy. |
