Posted - 12 Nov 2011 : 09:16:57 AM I bought this mare from a sale a few weeks ago. She is very much "in the rough" at the moment having just weaned a foal, and being a tad poor when the vendor bought her. She is being long reined at the moment, and as she carries herself well naturally, I think it wont be long before she builds some top line and improves her neck. The photo elongates her a little I am afraid... What do you think? Small hunter or Cob? (she is 15.2hh)

Posted - 12 Nov 2011 : 8:40:41 PM well. there is a story to her name... she is registered with the IHB as Porthall Fifi, but she came with Porthall Doctor Jane's passport. (Thank god for microchips) I think the passports got switched at a sale in Ireland last December when they came from the stud. However, I call her "Grace" She will be steadily worked in hand until she builds up a topline (and has a mouth like silk) This winter I expect very little but gentle hacking and to be a companion for Zarello (if Zarello will speak to her, being a non-arab that is) |
