We decided to enter all three of our horses which are registered with British Showjumping in the BS Show at The Scottish National Equestrian Centre on Saturday. Carousel Dreaming(TP Starbuck x Silverfrost Fantasia), 68.8% Arab, went first in the 80cm Open. She's our baby and her registration had only come through the day before. The class had 40 competitors and she was one of the 16 clear rounds. Bless her, she tried her little heart out and won the class by 2 seconds. Next up was Ruby Shy (Puzzles Limited Edition x Malibu Surfbreaker), 32.8% Arab, in the 90cm British Amateur Qualifier which she won by over 5 seconds. Finally, Laguna Flame (TP Starbuck x Mistral Whisper), 93.75% Arab, was 2nd in the 90cm British Novice and 3rd in the 1m Open. All three are descended from my foundation mare, Miss Ola (Ayton Rebel x Lola). All in all a great day for Arabs and our breeding programme and, boy, did they look fantastic with their Arab manes and tails flying!

Well done Alan and Leanne. Your horses always do so well everytime they compete. I have just started riding again after having another baby but Namuun has been doing well at showjumping and x-country with my sharer. Look forward to hearing of your next venture out. |

Congratulations !!!!!!!!!!! Have only just discovered this thread but as you know well I am a HUGE fan of the very lovely Ruby Shy, she's been a favourite of mine for a while now and I'm not surprised that once again she went out & showed them all how to do it  Sadly I can't seem to play your video but big well done to you and all your horses - a wonderful result - and great to hear some Good News!

well done, one thing we have proved with our (amature sj instructor) is Arabs can jump. And you have also proved it time and time again. When we move to england i hope to get some more show jumping in as gizzy is so talented. |

Thank you all for your kind comments. There is so much doom and gloom around in the Arab world these days, and horse world in general, that it's nice to be able to demonstrate that Arabs can, and do, hold their own in open competition. I just wish even more people would fly the flag like many of us do already. I, for one, would love to hear about your successes too. |

Brilliant video of Carousel, what a little superstar she is. You'd never know she was so new to it all. I'm sure you're going to have a lot of success with her.
