Posted - 16 Aug 2011 : 1:28:25 PM Thought I'd show you a few picts of my first arabian Talquah Taaj- 98% CRABBET ( from 35ys ago). They show how he developed from a 2yr old to a mature stallion at age 7yrs. He could be described in a term from the distant past as a "STOUT" horse. He was balance, strong, an animated brilliant mover, who loved to show, was tractable and had natural presence. His sire line includes Blue Domino and I think the tail female is Rodania. . Being backed at 2yrs
2.5yrs .. Just 3yrs at Perth Royal Show . Something was annoying him
Aged 7yrs . Sorry no ears. . His sire Arim a supreme champion at 6 Royal Shows in 6 different states of Australia.

Posted - 16 Aug 2011 : 4:33:03 PM Thank you all. I've said it before that my favourite arabian of all time was Raktha. At the time I owned Taaj, Straight Egyptian and Polish arabians were coming into the country. Then came the El Shaklan phenomenon . Many leaped to welcome these horses, new terms of description were invented to distinguish the types when in fact there should be only one type-that's why we have a standard. When I first saw Taaj as a yearling, his sire was shown to me first. The hair on the back of my neck stood up. Next came Taaj and again I had the same reaction. Although I wanted a filly I purchased the colt also. I will say that horses change as they mature. My mare is improving as she ages (now 7) especially along the topline. Her filly is going through the uglies at the moment but she will come back. What she has always had is a great enquiring personality which comes from her grand sire. I am moving Rusleema close Perth so I can prepare her for the state Arabian horse championships in November. This will be a one and only showing and I expect her to do well if I'm any judge .
