xsara
Posted - 13 Aug 2011 : 8:02:31 PM haven't been on for a while and dont get much time to catch up at mo as still staying with mum but hopefully in next couple of weeks the deal will be done and we will have our own place then hoping to have the mobile in place by end of sept and moved in horses and all :D . Xsara and deano are doing well deano is still being lunged in the pessoa every day and I long rein him the odd day for a change and will start riding him again hopefully in couple of weeks time he is filling out nicely. helen came up and rode xsara today it was her first proper schooling seesion since she has come in from grass. I have changed her bit and put a flash strap on as she was running through the hands a bit. she was putting her head on the bit but when her head was down she rushed and became unbalanced and when i gave her a half halt she was totally ignoring it and was just leaning even heavier and ran on so I am trying a hanging cheek snaffle and a flash to keep her mouth closed. I was pleased with what I seen today she is stronger in her frame now and is now ready for some proper work this winter in her flatwork. I took a couple of pictures I can see her frame is not so long and low and she is starting to carry herself correctly but still needs alot of work to lighten her of the forehand but hopefully will be able to get lots of lessons this winter as instructor will only be couple of miles hack away and i now get more time off.
A pic of deano
and xsara
Helen even gave her a little jump but couldn't persuade her to jump much more and notice how she took the small way out lol
