Posted - 10 Aug 2011 : 1:05:03 PM Hi I just wanted to let everyone know about this. My sister emailed me this morning to say someone tried to steal her grey arab gelding - Dal sometime yesterday from Wooley area in Wakefield . A neighbour of hers found Dal in the road. At first she though he must have got out but on closer inspection half way up the field the sheep net fencing had been neatly cut close to the fence post and rolled back to make a large gap in the fence. The police have been informed and the local horse watch. Needless to say she didn't sleep well last night and her husband was up at 3 in the morning walking the dogs round the field. Hopefully they have moved on but just wanted to warn anyone who has horses in this area |

Posted - 10 Aug 2011 : 1:40:00 PM This is only a couple of miles from me!! In fact, Dal used to be on the farm where I keep my mare. Hope he didn't sustain any injury when he got out - tell her I'm thinking of her, she must be beside herself with worry.
