Posted - 17 Jul 2011 : 02:55:56 AM Hi Everyone Endurance flew the flag for the Arabian Breed at Thursdays Futurity Grading at the Grange. There were 4 endurance entries forward. My 2yo filly Yawl Hill Pollyanna by Shuwaiman Al Bahrain out of billys Mum Burrowshot Lass got a first premium , Tristan and Sarah Bishop 2yo Ty Shute Golden Savannah by Chatanz got a First premium and my 3yo gelding Yawl Hill Maverick also out of Billys mum by H Tobago got a Higher First premium . The other horse is not in the results so not sure if it graded (it did attend as I spoke to the handler). There were 35 that did grade in 7th Place was Yawl Hill Pollyanna, in 6th Ty Shute Golden Savannah and My gelding Yawl Hill Maverick was the highest scoring horse of the day of all disciplines so was in 1st place. I'm so proud of my youngsters, it was a day of many firsts for them, it was the first time they had been plaited, the first time they had loaded in a trailer (this was the bad bit lol needs lots of practice but to be fair to me due to the acident I've not had a trailer to practice on ) their first time travelling, they have never left my yard before, there first time being let loose in a school, their first time trotting up for a vet and the first time encountering lots of imaginary scary monsters!!! I'm also really proud of my mare Burrowshot Lass she is one amazing broodmare she retired to stud after a very successfull Endurance and Eventing Career, she has had 5 foals 4 of whom were bred by me (the other a friend loaned her to breed) Her first born was Yawl Hillbilly my stalllion now 8yo who is now fei 3 star qualified and also events, the second is my friends 7yo gelding Jack who is a allrounder and the third is my 4yo Mare Yawl Hill Kyla who has been lightly backed plus Maverick and Pollyanna
