Posted - 19 Apr 2011 : 9:28:02 PM I know that you good people on here are full of useful ideas and have loads of useful stuff......
The reason I am posting this is to ask people for some interesting articles about arab horses, their history, their uses throughout history and modern day uses. I know how enigmatic and endearing arabs are but I want to portray this to others.
I am a Nurse by profession and in two weeks time I need to give a 5 minute presentation on a topic of my choice. It doesnt have to be medical so I thought about presenting The Arab Horse...
So anything you have that you could forward to me or post links to useful websites I would be very grateful. Thanks...

Posted - 20 Apr 2011 : 12:37:59 PM You could also mention the famous people (e.g. Napoleon) who rode Arabs, the fact that all thoruoghbreds trace back to four arab stallion, in fact, almost totally to three. How in these troubled times all nations on these forums are united in their love of the arab horse. Most non horse people imagine the bedu riding their arab stallions into battle and on thier raiding parties. However, the stallions were left at home as they were too noisy and gave away their position so it was the mares that were ridden on raids.
If you want any other ideas you can pm me with your email address.

Posted - 19 Apr 2011 : 9:35:29 PM Talk about how versatile the Arab is,how they show, jump, race, do endurance and the fact they are the oldest pure breed used to put a bit of class to other breeds.
