What is the latest date that you can blood test a mare for pregnancy?The mare I covered last year would be due around the 2nd of July,my vet recommended blood testing her and he has said she is definitely not pregnant,the blood test was on the 28th of March.I have just been reading an article which says that this would be too late to be accurate?
She was covered on 4th August |

Get your vet to put his hand in. No room for error there, he will be able to feel the foal and tell you if it is alive.
My estimate for foaling date with a last service date of 4 aug would be july 9th |

When we didn't know for certain if our Biba was expecting we had the test done in June, came out positive - and she foaled 12th July!
