Baz is on well on one..What do you do over the summer feed wise? he looks ok obviously work will give him topline but this is new to me looking after and working a ridden horse, is certainly not lacking in sparkle  should i just give him a token feed after work of very low molly chaff and a couple handfuls fibre pencils bit of garlic and micro linseed? Very confused at the mo getting the balance right? |

Once the grass is growing we just feed a half scoop of basic horse and pony nuts in the evening - they don't need it really but it allows us to change fly rugs etc. and check them over. The two in endurance training are given more, but that depends on their work rate and condition as the season continues, but grass is their main diet too. |

I would give him a a low cal fibre feed + a balancer or vitamin and mineral supplement.
