Posted - 28 Mar 2011 : 09:16:47 AM I see one of my old mares up for sale on the classified pages . The second in a month . Dearnebank's Rashidha by El Rashid and out of the beautiful Melchior mare Silver Masquerade , not Silver Serinade as listed . Rashidha was one of 3 stunning mares that El Rashid and Porsha as we called her produced . All show winners and champion females . Dearnebanks' Jezzabelle , Bint El Rashid , and of course Rashidha who was by far the best producer . Her son by CAS Sabur Dearnebank's Flamin Cheeq was Supreme Champion at the Northern Group Arab C Show , he was a spectactular looking bay with the most flamboyant look and movement. Rashidha was sold as we thought to a permanent home and was in foal to our Straight Spanish stallion Amoroso De Salvadora , now in France . Unfortunately as so often happens she was sold on after a couple of years . Rashidha had an accident whilst out in the paddock when she sustained a very tiny piercing that damaged a rear tendon . I have known horses be PTS for having a similar injury but that was not the option for me . Rashidha is a great producer put to he right stallion . I'm sure she can produce some more winning stock , don't let the slight unsoundness be a put off cos she can still strutt her stuff , or at least thats how she was when she left me . I haven't seen her since ... The great Major Maxwell said she was a really good sort of mare , when judging her at the Northern Group Show. I hope she finds a good home ........... |

Posted - 28 Mar 2011 : 10:56:29 AM I noticed her ad yesterday, and wish we had room for her and hope she finds a lovely home...my Rashid daughters (awaiting his first grand-foal for us too now!)can't be faulted, kind, beautiful and USEFUL; neither can the old man himself still going strong at 24 and loving hacking out! |

Posted - 28 Mar 2011 : 10:18:27 AM So do I. I would love her, Rashid is a great favourite of mine. Fingers crossed for this lady. I know that things change and bad things happen to good people, but I have also been tricked (I want to see the good in people) and I know how awful it must be to see her sold. The new owner is advertising in the right place though! so she should get a good home |
