Posted - 11 Mar 2011 : 2:30:23 PM ... Shahi Bint Balaton, mother of our lovely Saffee (PSA Safeerah).
Most of you will not have seen Shahi as she was only shown in Germany as a baby (twice regional champion), and then became the riding mare of her breeder. We have not shown her in the UK but have had the pleasure of her company over the last 4 years. She has not done any work for the last 18 months as she was in foal and then feeding the little one.
We have just started to work her again, to keep her fit and ready to make more babies in future. I think this is the first time many of you will have been able to see her movement, and as it was the first time she has worked in 18 months, so she was quite showy.
I apologise for the poor quality of the images as I have a new phone which is clearly not a high quality video camera. As you can see we have to exercise two at a time at this time of year to optimise the warmth and daylight. the chestnut is her half sister BS Emira, who is back to her best.
I shall get some decent footage one day I promise
