Posted - 18 Feb 2011 : 9:53:47 PM Just having a minor panic as found out our yard is no longer selling any hay or haylage as they are almost out. Asked around and hopefully there is somewhere that I will be able to get some next week, but not sure I can make what I have left last until then. Normally I would buy the (hugely overpriced ) very small bales/bags from local feed store.... but they've run out too Really, it's getting to be like gold dust round here!
So is there anything I can feed to keep us ticking over for a few days, maybe a week? Pony is out overnight so needs to be something I can leave in field to keep him ticking over!
Thanks in advance

Posted - 18 Feb 2011 : 10:12:53 PM Allen & Page Fast Fibre is brill and soaks in 60 seconds. You could use this and mix in a couple of scoops of chaff to bulk it out and make it last longer.
