Posted - 17 Feb 2011 : 5:31:06 PM I was wondering if anyone knew of a good livery yard that offers full livery with riding for my 5 year old arab? i was looking for a place in the North East/North Yorkshire area. i havent got much money but i am currently selling him due to my ill health and the fact that he has grown way too big. He is now 15.3 and i am finding it difficult to ride etc. i was diagnosed with ME and now fibromyalgia and his training has gone down the pan as i cannot ride. He is a good lad but needs someone to give him something to think about instead of stuck in a field or stable. i love him to bits and am sad to see him go. i have had a few enquiries but they havent got back to me yet. however, it would be nice to see him doing something to show him off and get a good home. thank you

BTW - i think Emir is lovely - i have his half sister!

Posted - 17 Feb 2011 : 6:59:55 PM Hi! i am Dazzle's mum!
Hi Iris! Yes, i have thought about that! He is advertised here on Arabian Lines (Emir). i have put him on a few others saying that i would accept a loan. I might put an ad out asking for that as i want to see him doing something. cant sleep at night at the moment worrying about him! it isnt the fact that i am selling him thats giving me sleepless nights... it is the fact that i feel guilty because i cannot ride him and he is getting bored and i feel sooo guilty! thanks for the kind words. it is very heartbreaking x

Posted - 17 Feb 2011 : 6:20:25 PM Oh, I'm sorry that you're struggling at the moment. This must be heartbreaking for you.
Have you thought about putting him out on a short-tern full loan? Would be more economically viable than full livery, I can imagine. I know that here, at least, full livery is around £100/week, whereas there must be people out there who are temporarily horseless and would welcome the opportunity to ride and school him for you while you find him a new home. Just a thought!
Best of luck.
