Could anyone offer any advise on this treeless saddle??

I currently ride in a GP treed saddle but am thinking of swapping to a treeless, I thought this one looked good because it has knee rolls and it says you can jump in it (I only jump tiny anyway)I also liked that it looks like a traditional saddle.

Any advise

My mum has ridden in the Dream and she's a size 6 - 8 and she did feel a bit lost in it TBH but found it easier to duck under the branches as she had room to slide her bum back

I tried a Freeform before the Dream and couldn't get on with it at all. It was fine until it warmed up and then it seemed to spread and sink down onto the withers despite using their hi-wither numnah and swapping to a narrower gullet which just seemed to pinch as well as sink

A couple of people near me have stopped using theirs as the ponies developed large white patches on both sides like white splodges behind the withers right where the pommel rested - in both cases they had sought advice from the seller (not Dream Team) and bought the numnah they recommended and in one case had it fitted to the pony for them by the seller.

Good luck with your search

Thankyou for the reply.

I did actully speak to the manufacturs and told them my dress size and they said the seat would infact be too big for me :(

They said the freeform may be more suitable as they come for a dress size 6-8, but they are quite expensive, so im not sure what Im going to do.

Thank you for the offer of comeing to have a sit, unfortunatly I am based in south east kent. Thank you though it was very sweet of you

Hi there

I've had my Dream Saddle since they first bought them out and love it

I'd got a Torsion copy for Roo when I was first re-backing him but wanted one I could jump in and one that was a bit more secure as he's very good at "emergency stop and spin".

I can honestly say I wouldn't go back to a treed saddle or have any other type of treeless. I also use it on my old Arab who is a totally different shape to Roo - he has some withers and no muscle wastage and Angel has very raised withers and although there is not actual wastage there is a definite triangle shape there.

I use a large sheepskin numnah with a flat seam along the middle and an Aerborn Aerolite combi riser pad on top then the saddle - this means I can change the numnah frequently and also shim out the pad to maintain a channel through so it stays off the spine.

I've only jumped small logs in the woods so far in it on Roo and been really impressed at how secure I felt - even when he decided to watch himself sailing over the log but putting his nose between his knees With Angel I managed 2ft 6in (Angel's limit) and felt secure and had no negative response from her on landing. In fact, over time she has been more chilled about her jumping and less tense and fizzy on the approaches so I think she has given it a thumbs up too

Where abouts are you? I'm in Nottinghamshire if you wanted to come and have a look at it in the flesh and have a test ride
