Posted - 22 Nov 2010 : 8:05:56 PM I hope people don't mind me sharing these pictures and gushing just a little bit
This was Dennis's first dressage competition a couple of weeks ago. He came third with the respectable score of 65.22%, the first and second where 'proper' dressage horses!
And although this picture isn't technically correct I just love his expression as he's concentrating so hard!
By the way please excuse the ermmmm porkiness! His waistline expanded somewhat when I moved him onto the winter grazing |

Posted - 26 Nov 2010 : 11:36:26 AM I took Dennis for a lesson with Robert Pickles which are arranged through the local Riding Club and they have asked if we'd like to join the dressage team!!! Bit early for that!!! I am very chuffed that we were asked though
LOL Jane - you know my proud mummy moments LOL!
Lovely to hear from you Nicky and thank you for you lovely comments. Actually I thank everyone for their lovely comments, as I've said before its been a journey....
And just for info Andy Durham phoned me a couple of days ago, he's one of the senior vets at Liphook (he appeared on Animal Madness this week with the sleepy horse). He's writing a paper to be presented at a conference and he wants to use Dennis as a case study. Dennis has already been used as a case study by David Lloyd for his cyst and IRAP, as well as a case study presented at a BVA conference by his physio Jenny Hadland. I wonder if any other horse has been so widely used for different case studies!! |

What great photos - Dennis looks absolutely amazing, and I am so happy for you both after all you have been through together. He is a lovely horse, and a very lucky boy to have a wonderful owner like you. Renee xx |

After what he has been through, wasnt sure whether he would make a complete recovery or not. He is a credit to you!!! Proud mum eh? Nicky |

Posted - 23 Nov 2010 : 07:41:24 AM Very smart plait Vera and a very smart Dennis. What a clever boy he is getting third first time out and good scores. I am sure you dont care if you never ride him again when he looks that good. I could watch him all day. |

Posted - 22 Nov 2010 : 10:49:54 PM Thank you all for your lovely comments, they mean a lot to me
Becky - its easy when they're clipped right out!
Pat - sadly no I have severely lacked motivation to lose the last two stone before riding him. I don't really mind just having him in my life is enough
Nadia - the judge commented that it was nice that I had plaited him
