Hello, One of the girls at the yard has asked me to clip her hairy 15hh native type. I was just wondering what a reasonable price would be to pay for a full clip (she wants legs off aswell!) bearing in mind im not a professional or anything ha! Also what would a reasonable price be for just he body off because im not sure whehter ill have the time to do her legs.

I charge between £20 - £40 depending on the type of clip, and if the horse is good or not!!!!!

A full clip for me varies between £20-£30 deending on who does it. but there is a few ppl that are charging £20 :) |

Gosh, pleased that I leave in Yorkshire when I see what others pay!
Rosie had a blanket clip 5 weeks ago & it cost me £20 - & the lady that does her does a fabulous job - very neat.
Will be getting done again at Xmas with a full clip (legs on) & think she'll charge £25 for that.
We use someone else, as we don't have electric at the stables - would love a pair of cordless tho'. |

Think the going rate around here is £35 for a full clip and that's mates rates... so glad I have my own clippers |

Why is everything so much dearer in Hampshire!
My friend clips a lot of horses - she did 13 in a day a couple of weeks ago, anyway I asked her and she charges £40 legs on and £50 legs off.

£30 legs left on £40 legs off is what we used to charge and £25 for a blanket. |

If i asked my local riding school i would be charged £35 for a blanket clip but a friend has bought some clippers and wanted the practice so i got it done for the price of a bottle of wine |

I think £40 for legs off as well is a fair price.
I've just clipped most of our yard and they have had a trace for which I have charged £25 - full is easier but more work on your clippers especially if it's a native

A friend who clips most of the horses on our yard charges £25 with legs left on. |
