Posted - 09 Nov 2010 : 5:21:28 PM I never have much time to spend reading - well I seem to be a doer rather than a reader but as Xmas is looming and I have been asked for ideas I thought that I wouldn't mind a horsey book. As endurance is my interest can anyone recommend a book that I might enjoy...old or new? |

Posted - 09 Nov 2010 : 5:56:08 PM I finished reading 'Jump' a few weeks ago. Took a bit of getting into but still enjoyed it. Preferred ' Riders'. Has anyone read Zara Philips 's autobiography? |

Posted - 09 Nov 2010 : 5:44:39 PM For a good book about endurance, I would recommend 'Go the Distance' by Dr Nancy S Loving. I also have her book 'All Systems go' which is more of a Veterinary mannual. Both excellent IMO
Have just ordered Jilly Coopers new book 'Jump' to read over the winter (if I get any time!!) |

Posted - 09 Nov 2010 : 5:30:52 PM It's not endurance, but please read The Tao of equus by Linda Kohanov. I think everyone who is involved with horses in any way can learn something from it. I thought it was amazing. |
