Posted - 09 Nov 2010 : 12:24:46 PM Hello!!!! Have lurked for a little while but thought I would join in! I "think" I may own something a little bit different - I have got a Quarab!!! Remus is a 15.3 liver chestnut - a rather quirky and sensitive little flower. We are mainly "happy hackers" but have dreams of doing a bit of low level dressage. He is the 2nd part Arab I have owned - my first horse was an AA/Welsh Sec D cross.
If anyone has any ideas about a saddle for Remus please let me know. Am desperate for an Arab Saddle Company endurance but need to muster some more funds! Any ideas on anything similar please! |

I have found that the main thing with saddles is to have them fitted correctly - I have a saddler who has a very good range of second hand saddles - you can save a fortune that way, and trade it against another saddle if you horse grows out of it. I have a nearly new fieldhouse VSD on my youngster which I got for half the new price.
I had two Arabian Saddle Co. Endurance saddles (for 2 different horses), fitted me well, but weren't so good for the horses - on one the stirrup bars caused pressure points when he built up fitness(despite saddle being checked by 3 different saddlers), however he did have the most incredible OTT trot. But all horses are a different shape, and what suits one doesn't suit another. |

Posted - 09 Nov 2010 : 12:40:53 PM Hi and welcomea few people on here have Quarab's do you have any pictures of him? I use an Ideal Ramsay saddle which I use for everyday riding and a bit of showing, I don't have any experience of endurance saddles sorry, but there are loads of people on here that do. |
