Basically the course is there and it is adjusted to different heights and you pop as much or as little and as high or low as you want. I took xsara with the intention of doing a course of 80cms as I wanted to find out if she was confident enough to step up a class as I am currently doing 60 and 70cm classes with me. Well went in and warmed up the jumps were about 60cms and a few horses in popping away watching out for other people. They then cleared the arena and put up a 70cm course so xsara was first to go she had one pole down and only because i nearly took wrong course and turned tight and she practically stopped but i asked and she jumped She was a little bit fresh and was a little bit dodgy at times as she wasn't totally paying attention. So then they went in and put them up I thought great 80cm went in warmed up while they put the jumps up to find they had jumped to 1m  :? well they wern't all at 1m there was one at 95cm and one which was bigger than 1m but not sure what height and happened to be no 1 but it was hugh so it was around 1m course I went in knowing xsara was perfectly capable of jumping the course but not knowing if she would. Well we went into no1 and I think she got a bit of a shock jumped it no hesitation but she knocked it down. She then went to no 2 and cleared it and jumped the double clearing it we then jumped the spread in the middle cleared it too we then jumped round the jumps a few times and she is so honest she knocked a couple of the poles but the more we were popping the more she was adjusting her self and clearing them well even when she got in close or got the striding wrong. She is such a star and has now I have no hesitations of taking her into 80cms as she showed me tonight she is ready. There is pony loose jumping on 2moro night and there is a class for 4yr 15h ponies And I have just been informed she only has to jump 90cms so may have a peep as she loves loose jumping and is so good at it
