My heart is breaking. Sihrabba was put to sleep this morning following a short illness. His blood results showed that there was nothing more that could be done for him, so I had no choice but to let him go.
He was with me for 26 of his 29 years, the ultimate riding and competition horse and gentle friend.
Here is a selection of photos from a truly great time over many many years, that seems right now to be but a moment gone.

So sorry to hear your sad news. Such a very beautiful ethereal boy. You were very lucky to find each other.
I am sure with time you will remember all the good times and think that he had a long happy life and only a very short illness. That is the best that we can hope for for any living thing. It doesnt make it hurt less though

Offira, you have my heartfelt sympathy, what a beautiful horse.
I know exactly how bereft you must be feeling. Losing my dear Audin, (a Ben Rabba grandson) was the most painful experience of my life, this is a very special family of a very special breed of horse, we are blessed to have shared our lives with them.

So sorry for your loss. What a beautiful horse and how fortunate you both have been to have had each other in your lives for so long and with so much love. You are now left with the dreadful emptiness which his passing has caused. In time this will be joined with pride that you gave him a long, consistent and happy life and a dignified end. Bless you both. |

So very sorry that you have lost your beautiful boy .
We have his half brother Ben Shirab also 29 he suffered a small stroke a few weeks ago but seems to be feeling better and enjoying being out in the field for a few hours a day ...we take every day as it comes now . It so hard to lose them .

I'm so sorry. I hope you are ok xx What a beautiful horse. I have a Ben Rabba grandaughter and I hope she follows in her uncles hoofprints and lives to that great age too. What a lucky boy he was to be so safe and secure with you all those years right to the final end.

What a lucky horse he was, it is obvious he was loved and secure all his life. And stunningly handsome too. Hopefully in time the happy memories will ease your pain. |
