Posted - 05 Sep 2010 : 9:42:13 PM After a rotten week - see 'bucking pony' post, my lovely daughter ellie (11yo) took Borris into the junior handler class at the Hallamshire Sheffield Riding club Chantray championship show, AND WON............... What a clever girl and a simply superb 3 year old arab. Bonkers them araby things, bonkers
ANd so many many thanks to the lovely Liz for giving us a ride there in the biggest waggon I have ever seen. Boz loaded in less than 5 mins each way.I love my boy!
How cool is that machine!
(I didn't do that well, rd3 out 3 in youngstock - judge said he needs to fill out - tell me something I don't know - and 3rd out 4 in arab class!) |

Posted - 07 Sep 2010 : 09:01:33 AM Your daughter looks very happy and so she should be bless them both, I love the lorry its great, am I right in thinking Boris is a Om El Mareikh son if so Arabi is also and he was a late developer, he is 6 now but still needs to fill out more on his back end so don't worry it will just take time. We do have some strapping sessions every week to help it along now it has really made a difference. |

Posted - 06 Sep 2010 : 10:52:40 PM Thanks for the comments guys. Boz is such a great lad, i had no qualms letting her take him in, but it was the first time she has done this with him, and has only done junior handling once before. Ellie qualified for the in hand championships, towards the end of the day and Boz was so tired he could hardly be bothered to trot. He was out of the field for 12 hrs poor boy.
We weren't allowed to tie up on the outside of the lorry, as the paint job was £16.5k
Can you imagine............
But we did feel preeeeeetty good arriving in it. It is going to HOYs so some of may see it there. |
