I am gob-smacked. My mare was in a turn out paddock for a quick roll and buck inbetween training sessions in a round pen. I went to answer the call of nature and when I got back some b.....d had stolen her headcollar (which she was wearing!!!)
I was really upset as I purchased this in USA and I can't get another one like it over here. It was black with a lovely white navajo indian design on it.
Anyone know any websites I could purchase another one from???? Tried the well known one but only plain or bling types.

How sad nothing surprises me anymore, a few weeks back Arabi threw a shoe, well I hunted that field 3 times every inch couldn't find it, about a week later my Sister and I were extending the fence out for more grass and she found it about 4 feet away from the fence on the other side in the long grass. |

Well, the "person" won't be able to use it, if it's so distinctive. Could you put flyers round the local yards; someone may come forward if they've seen something?

Thanks Kharidian - that was my first thought, but we searched high and low. Paddock was only small and surrounded by electric fence. It was near a gate onto the lane, so some opportunist had nipped over and whipped it. It isn't the first time this has happened. I had another USA one and that went missing. Strange it is only the USA ones that get nicked. My much more expensive padded safety headcollars don't get touched. I think it must be the same (unfortunately local) person who obviously thinks I have good taste !! |

That sounds strange! Who else was on the yard? Could she just have rubbed it off or flung it over a fence?
When Roger was away being broken to harness as a four year old he was once left (stabled) with a mouthing bit tied to a headcollar; trainer was very surprised to find him without the bit when he went back to attend.....had the whole bed up, couldn't find the bit.....later the bit was found in the yard as Roger had thrown it out of the window!
I hope you find your headcollar.
