Posted - 14 Aug 2010 : 4:49:56 PM First of all my precious princess who is showing great potential under saddle, probably too good for me really as she should do very well at dressage or ridden showing with a little more time so lots of lessons for me if i'm to ever do her justice

Posted - 17 Aug 2010 : 12:57:10 PM Ooh Emma would love to see pics of your girl. All I know is he was bred by Wally Lewis and then seems to have had numerous owners. He was a stallion until he was about 10 when he ended up in Llandbydder. The person who bought him from there i'm not sure her name hadn't gone intending to buy an arab stallion but thought he was so sweet couldn't leave him there. She then brought him back to health and had him gelded before selling him on. Not sure if the lady I bought him from got him straight from her or not. The last couple of years he has been in a nice home but not done anything just the odd hack here and there. He really does have the loveliest temperament and is generally a very nice horse. There are various owners on his registration document but i'm not sure who the person was who starved him and sent him to Llandbydder, it's difficult to tell as he doesn't seem to have stayed anywhere very long and of course not everyone would have bothered to update his registration docs. I understand he has a few foals but that they weren't registered. I still need to find out more about him really as it's all a bit vague. The only offspring i'm aware of seem to all be part breds. |

Posted - 17 Aug 2010 : 10:23:28 AM Hi Joanna
Would you mind telling me anything you know about Bouchan? I was so excited when i saw this post as we have one of his daughters. We bought her 7 years ago as a 6 month foal from a lady in Cardigan. She was out of a cob mare that i haven't been able to find out anything about. She stands at 14.3 and she also has an amazing temperament. We backed her as a 5 yr old and she was so unfazed that we went straight out for a hack on our own!! If we hadn't owned her for so long I would have sworn she had done it before!
Thanks in advance

Posted - 15 Aug 2010 : 2:35:27 PM Ah thank you i'm very chuffed with them both. Took Beau out for his first hack today, bearing in mind he's been in all week apart from 20 mins yesterday and he was a perfect gentelman. We saw motorbikes, cyclists, a tractor and all the norm traffic and he didn't bat an eyelid. Such a good boy |

Posted - 14 Aug 2010 : 4:56:29 PM And some of my new boy Bouchan aka Beau who is by Dilmoon and the sweetest kindest horse you could wish to meet. He's 15 and for some unfathomable reason has spent his life going from pillar to post even ending up at Llandbydder at one point in a very poor way. Anyway he arrived last Sunday and unfortunately knocked himself on the journey so has been in all week but trotted up sound this morning so turned him out in the paddock for a while and hopefully he'll go out with the main herd tomorrow.
