Posted - 14 Aug 2010 : 10:10:10 PM Hanging cheek snaffles are very useful if your Arab has a small mouth - several of mine have this problem and the hanging cheek has seemed to work best. OTOH, my boy Roupert is not as keen on his hanging cheek Myler as he was on his (too big) eggbut Myler - but will have to put up with it until I can find an eggbut Myler the right size!

Posted - 14 Aug 2010 : 12:17:16 AM i also use a hanging cheek snaffle french link. I find that if you need that little extra control its there. im looking a 4.25cm hanging cheek snaffle mullen mouth happy mouth for ros but its seeming to be near impossible cause of the size. |

Posted - 14 Aug 2010 : 12:12:18 AM Yeah I like the hanging cheek snaffle I got one for my 14h2 a couple of years back and she rode really well init and also it kinda gets them used to slight poll pressure so if you move to a pelham they are used to the poll action. I don't have xsara in one though she is so funny with her mouth and has taken me so long to find a bit she likes so won't be changing her lol |

Posted - 13 Aug 2010 : 11:43:58 PM I personally don't like hanging cheeks, I don't know what I think it's just a personal preference...
I like full cheek bits the best haha I don't know why I find they seem to sit well in the mouth and of course can't be pulled through :)
