Which do you use for day to day, or do you think leather is best?

I love my leather bridles but i have to say you have to look after them so it depends how much spare time you have on your hands. I have just bought a Zilco breastplate and am really pleased with it, so pleased that i think i may buy the bridle to match, it is so easy to keep clean.

Leather ALWAYS!!!

haha just the way I've been taught I think Joan would be-head me if she saw me using a webbing bridle haha, she almost did when she saw tiger's pink hood

I clean my bridle after ever use and I just like using leather!!!

I tend to use the biothane bridle on Lily because it's easy to maintain, but she wears her leather for shows and lessons (the biothane offends my instructor ). My welsh x tb wears his leather bridle, but I will probably get him a synthetic for the winter - so much easier to wash and wear. I tend to buy synthetic bridles in forest green, but I do have a fantastic pair of luminous yellow reins with incredibly soft rubber grips from a certain endurance supplier.

I do think leather bridles are smarter, but I now keep them for best, endurance bridles are so convenient, particularly when you are pressed for time and have a husband who objects to tack being cleaned in the house....

The soft plastic from Zilco or performance equestrian unless you're very good about keeping leather soft & supple. If you don't like bright colours (I'm with Pauline on that one, personally think they're fun), then they do come in leather colours from PE. Used to love it at last livery yard when 'traditionalists' were agast at my green/white tack. Then, omg a saddle with green grith straps, how could they be seen out with me

I very rarely use leather bridles or breast plates only if I show.

I like my synthetic tack easy to keep clean.

I always use it to compete in as doing endurance it is easy to remove the bit and also the amount of water we put on the horses.I also love the colors too.

I am fond of my blue plastic zilco one but my YO says it makes Spider look like a beach donkey. The leather one is a bit softer for normal use, but I use the plastic one for endurance as I like that you can detach the bit and use it as a headcollar.

I use libbys bridles amd brestplates for hacking.
I just pop them in the washing machine, and have had them for years.

Here, leather is for 'best' only.
