Following Nissibays fantastic news about her finally finding the bay filly she has always wanted (and what a filly to buy - you lucky thing!) it has prompted me to share my good news about two mares I have recently bought.
First off is Bint Bint Emeera - I have always admired her wonderful sweet temperament and beautiful big eyes, and the chance arose for me to buy her - how could I refuse?! Thank you Jane Fraser Brown for the opportunity to own this lovely mare. I have to wait until she has weaned her lovely daughter and then she can come live with me.
Here is a photo I took of her at the Wales & West 2009:
Then at the end of May I found an sales advert for Sukie, she is my favourite mare's full sister and still owned by their breeder. Sukie has an old hoof wall injury which restricts her ridden activities (ie she can potter about every now and again, but nothing serious) plus she has a couple of little sarcoids. I just had to buy her to ensure she has a secure future - I was worried about where she might end up (me being as soft as I am!!) Anyway picked her up and she is as sweet and lovely as her sister and am smitten with her! Here is a photo of Sukie (a little slimmer now than in the photo!):
Watch this space as new horse number 3 is in the pipeline...... A chap who I have loved and admired for a long, long time 
These arabs are very addictive - I now have 7 and number 8 will be along shortly....

Gorgeous! You must be so excited, but how do you cope with so many! 
I'm run ragged with 3! Just as well I have no time to do anything else or want anything else as they take all my time and money! They're worth all it though 
Arabs are addictive I agree! I'd have more in a heartbeat

Aww thanks kate, lucky you too what beautiful mares!!! and lucky sukie finding a new owner like you to take care of her no matter what, keep us posted on your number 3 in the pipeline lol |
