Posted - 28 May 2010 : 11:38:28 PM Does not seem possible it was less than a year ago that Mooky came home from being backed by cindy, she did such a fantastic job in such a short space of time he has denoviced in his first short season and this year came 2nd to the awesome Piatza, in a very strong HOYS qualifier.I have never sent a horse away to be backed before,we were too busy to do it ourselves,it was such a super experience we sent HS Mahalia to Cindy this year,i have just returned home with her and hope to get her to a few shows before the end of the season |

Posted - 31 May 2010 : 4:38:04 PM will not be taking Mooky to HOCON,for the rest of the season we will now concentrate on the novices , veterans and hw cob, mooky will now be doing dressage and we hope to take him to UHKIAHS, as he has many years in the show ring ahead of him we dont want him to get bored,he does love his jumping but the ground is too hard at present,he is a real fun horse and very versatile,(just like his rider)

Posted - 30 May 2010 : 2:42:39 PM May I also support the work of Cindy Sims. My 6 yo mare Kamillah (Imperial Kamilll ex Kateefah by Kerim Shah) was long reined on the lanes by me as a two year old, lunged and leant over as a three year and backed and ridden away in the autumn of her fourth year. She was also shown lightly in hand by Lisa Carter (of Malthouse Arabians) as a 3 and 4yo.
Last year she had four successful outings in Novice Ridden with Stephanie Zebedee and has just spent two months with Cindy improving her jumping and learning to go cross country. What has been so very nice is that the whole thing has been done quietly. I watched the first time she was ridden over cross country fences and there was no spooking, no sideways approach, no huge leap and no rushing off afterwards. The jumps included an open ditch and steps up and down. All were jumped in a natural shape and with confidence and she had previously been lunged over them all.
What is so good is that the mare's brain is 'in gear'. She has spent the last month hacking about in company and is due to go back to Cindy shortly. She has even had a sidesaddle on as well!

Hi all I'd like to say a huge thanks to everyone for doing such a great job with Mooky, and I am really happy to report that Mooky won the HOYS stallions today at the Northern show at Osbaldeston and has now qualified, so huge congrats to Genevieve and Georgina!!! And unbelievably they left home this morning at 1am and drove through the night to get there and Mooky was shown straight off the horsebox. Carmen also came third in her class too which is great! I am very very lucky that my horses are with the most wonderful people who love them all to bits and spoil them rotten :-)
Hi Jen
Here are a few links to some Mooky photos on the Sweet website from last weekend, hope it's ok to post the links;-

Posted - 28 May 2010 : 11:48:00 PM Congratulations for a brilliant success with Mooky. He has done fantastically, not only for Cindy but also for you and Sasha. I look forward to seeing lots more of Mooky this year and to seeing Mahalia out there flying the Silhouette flag for the most beautiful Arabians.
Well done all of you!! It doesn't happen any old how; it happens because they are lovely, typey Arabs - sensibly backed and show-ridden. Take the credit!! Good luck for the rest of 2010.
