Posted - 25 May 2010 : 11:38:32 PM joannes riding club had a club members training sj night so we up graded joannes membership for a family and took sasha and gizzy.
they had small fences from 7pm then bigger fences from 8pmish.
So sasha went into the smaller session and craig took her in first, bearing in mind shes only ever been over like one hole jumps, and craigs never jumped her. Well she went really well, craig did some cross poles and i said now the straight and well a little mishap criag came froward then sasha bucked on the other side knowing craig would go over her head lol. But everyone said that hes a pro landing on his feet lol. she ran off but was easy caught. Craig jumped some more and then io jumped her over the slightly bigger jumps and we did our first spread, she really was getting the hang of things by the end. heres some pics
this is the jump that craig came off
over some slightly bigger jumps
Gizzy did the bigger jumps, i was hoping to jump about 80-90cms with her, but when i was warming up someone put them up for there 16h3 sport horse older mare. I first thought to my self there was two that looked a little bit big  But i started jumping and she was soo keen i just let her take me into them and jumped them all. the biggest was approx 1m10. So i think i need to stop doing 70cm classes and start moving her up she loves the jumping soo much her whole attitude changes when she sees the jumps starts getting all excited. I always tell people i don't jump
getting a little bit to confident this was the biggest jump as you can see shes a bit far out lol

Posted - 26 May 2010 : 1:17:25 PM great pics well done i must say i am impressed at you and gizzy and I bet if i had of been able to make it you would have chickened out and told me to jump Gizzy over the big ones but now i know, and you know, you can do it lol. And well done craig with sasha both have come on so well. The riding club is so good especailly for bringing horses on and have so much on from sj, to dressage lessons, flat work and pole work lessons and now i see a set of Xc lessons and dressage to music lessons comming up so much to do lol i would reccommend any one to join one near them and get going |

Posted - 26 May 2010 : 12:21:43 PM thanks everyone it was a great experience. Pinkyboots im not that brave thats why i only jump her upto 70cms, but i just thought to my self the worst she can do is stop and me go flying so i just let her take me into it and hoped for the best, i don't have a good sense of depth and distances so i can't see the striding so im just glad gizzy is smart enough to do all the hard work and i just sit and steer. Someone commented on her, asking her breeding and when i told her half arab he was like yeah shes very araby and was surprised at her jump. |
