Posted - 05 May 2010 : 9:27:03 PM A few weeks ago we bought the part-bred Arab Classic Cantata. I have had a bit of a nightmare trying to sort out her NPS passport & Arab papers as her last registered owner was the breeder, but she sold her when she was 4 years old.
I wrote to the breeder & tonight received the most amazing phone call who was thrilled to hear where the pony had turned up. It was unbelievable that she had received my letter as she had moved house numerous times since the address I had - good on you Mr postman!!
So interesting to find out her past. Her pet name Ruby, isn't Ruby but Robbyn. Apparently, all her siblings & parents were Wembley/ HOYS ponies. She was professionally broken in, but somehow over the last 6 years something has gone wrong as she was ridden in a gag & grackle noseband when we got her. At the weekend we put her back in a snaffle & cavesson nose band. We could see that somewhere along the line she had been well schooled as now & again we get these snippets of brilliance. Michelle will be delighted when she hears all the past about her new pony & the breeder has promised to send her some photos of her past. The delight in the breeder now knowing the wherabouts of this pony was so lovely to hear. It really makes me wonder what has happened to Ruby in the last 6 years? If only they could talk eh? |
