Posted - 03 May 2010 : 12:07:26 PM The Tadsor Arabian Stud, Ticknall, Derbyshire has been accessioned and is now available if people with to consult it.
The stud was owned by Leslie and Hilda Hayward, who were movers and shakers in promoting the Arabian as a ridden horse during the 50s and 60s.
I still have some personal bits and pieces and registration certs also a headcollar belonging to Khada and stamped 'Yule'.

Posted - 04 May 2010 : 10:36:49 PM You can't link directly to the archive material. It isn't a digitially stored archive, no scanned images etc What it gives you is the accession number and then the number of the document. You still need to physically go the Derbyshire Records Office to see the documents. It just gives you (and the archivist) the ability to find the relevant storage files and document within the Tadsor Archive. |

Posted - 03 May 2010 : 8:10:33 PM Well done .. I'm sure this is a valuable archive.
I know, as it was an important stud near to me when I started out in the 1970's - so I would be interested to access this.
However, I couldn't actually get through to anything - kept going round in circles! Is it just me? Please could you sort me out!
So, I would be grateful if you could give some instructions on how to access the info ... as hitting the numbers or links, didn't seem to give any actual names or data - just sent me back to where I started!
