Some of you may remember that back in late 2009 I posted on here explaining how I needed to sort my finances out other wise I’d loose my mare, Milotkha, due to my poor financial situation. Well…. she moved to my good friends, Liz & Walter Downes, her breeders, on 17th January 2010 and is still there enjoying the pampering and company of the other horses.

In the time that I haven’t had Mila, I have paid off my over draft, I no longer have bank charges and I am in credit…. For the first time in 9 years…!!!! I also have a small, yet significant start to my savings… that will allow me to bring my girl home..!

I miss her sooooo much…. But I know she is in the best of hands and I know she’ll be back with me shortly.

Liz and Walter are angels from above and I will always be very grateful for all their help….!! I will forever be at their beck and call whenever they need an extra groom…!!!

I will keep you posted on the progress..!

Kim

Mila will have the best welcome home party when I get her back.
Chris and I have a few tricks up our sleeve, I wont mention them just yet - as it might not happen... but I am feeling positive now and the future for the 3 of us is looking bright...!!

I promised Liz and Walter that Mila had found her forever home - and she has.... she is just on holiday at the moment

So pleased that you are getting everything sorted out and hopefully you will have Milotkha back home soon, my very best wishes to you and all who have helped you

You are an inspiration to all, and what lovely people Liz ans walter are taking your much loved mare into their care until you got your self back on track. well done and i am sure it will not be long until you get your mare back

Liz and Walter are fine peaple.

Breeders that help out when the chips are down, a lot would, and some would not, when they could, sadly.

Just to say 'Thanks Both' for caring, and helping Kim and Mila, hopefully, securing their future.

thats wonderful, you took the decision you needed to and your making the best of the situation as it is now. It takes alot to turn the corner so well done.

Thank you all very much for the support.

When I first decided I needed to do something I was scared of what people would think - I didnt want to be frowned upon for not being able to afford her, but doing what I have done has given me the breathing space to sort my life out, and start a fresh when she comes home.

I should apologise to Liz and Walter mind, for the havoc Miss Mila has been causing

what a lovely story! i admire everyone involved and can imagine how excited you are that she will soon be back home with you
rosie Posted - 29 Apr 2010 : 4:55:42 PM
I really admire you for how you've handled this.
Yoo obviously assessed this situation, worked out a solution (with help from the breeders) & gone & achieved what you wanted.
Hope your horse is back with you soon - you so deserve it.
There should be more people like you! Good luck.

Well done for getting yourself straight and putting your horse first and how lucky, for you and Mila, that her breeders were able to help you out.
Good news all round

Well done you for biting the bullet - you've obviously done the right thing for both of you and no wonder you're excited about bringing her home!

Great news and what great support from her breeders.
marionpack Posted - 29 Apr 2010 : 11:59:23 AM
Well done you, a lot of people would have kept struggling and got further into debt and probably lost their horse all together, hopefully it won't be too long before Milotkha will be home with you, but meanwhile you know she is being well looked after
Milotkha Posted - 29 Apr 2010 : 10:42:57 AM
Thank you all for the words of support. It has been very hard, but with determination and lots of love for Mila.... I will have her back asap. I have to say, my boyfriend has been a rock.. we have only been together 8 months but he is excited about getting her back and is helping me no need to be able to do that.

I am sure this has been really hard on you. But you are an inspiration to others to knuckle down, make the sacrifices and do the right thing. I am really happy to hear that things are looking up for you. Big to you and Mila's breeders

Angels I can vouch for so glad you will be getting your mare back
Ruth_Cymru Posted - 29 Apr 2010 : 10:14:27 AM
Well done for taking those positive steps, being in credit is a much happier place than that horrid overdraft. Because you've taken those scary but neccessary steps I'm sure you will have your mare home in no time.
