 Just got back from an 8 hr round trip ( thank you OH) drive to Oakways Farm Stud near Cardiff and put down my deposit on the most gorgeous little filly foal I can imagine (and I've been imagining for 35 yrs !!).
I saw Marquessa (prob going to be nicknamed Kessa) on the forum when she was first born and she was the one who set me seriously planning and plotting. I never thought she could be mine but I put my heart into an email, Jane read it, approved, and now she is mine.
I am SO EXCITED
I am too exhausted to upload my own pics so I hope Celia doesn't mind me using hers. ( Celia, if Kessa grows up to be half as beautiful as Manikka I will be very happy!)

I can't wait for the end of August when Marquessa comes to live with me in Cheshire and my arab adventure will begin.

Sarah, your little poppet was having a little snooze when we drove past this morning - she was lying down with her chin resting on the ground, and her little ears flapping about - she must have had a fly buzzing round her! I gave her a little wave for you!

She is delightful and wonderfully bred aswell, The sires line seem to have wonderful temperaments. |

WOW !!! Thank you so much for all your congratulations and kind words. I am overwhelmed
I am finding it hard to believe my dream is coming true. Kessa will have a home for life and will be loved to bits.
I have all sorts of adventures planned for us starting with becoming best friends, exploring the farm, going for walks and in hand hacks with my haffie mare (who also has a home for life) to, later on, playing, groundwork, riding, Trek and, hopefully horseback archery 
RAFA - I am based in Malpas, nr whitchurch (and Wrexham) south Chesire. Where are you ??
Kate b - congrats on buying your mare I may have seen her but can't remember much apart from Kessa  . I really envy you being so near. We are still trying to recover from the drive yesterday (not helped much by being too excited to sleep !) so realistically may not be down too often, especially as I have only just learnt to drive.
I am particularly pleased about the positive comments on Orion and Manikkas temperaments. Thanks again everyone. |

I am not sure how appropriate it is for me to comment on this thread as I bred marquessa, she truly is as lovley as her pictures and I believe that in you Sarah she will have found a wonderful place to grow mature and enjoy her life with you. Congratulations on your purchase! She really is a lovely filly, and with the wonderful temperaments of both her parents she is sure to be a very loving and level headed young lady.
I have recently bought a lovely mare from Jane, and I too am waiting for her foal to be weaned, so we can impatiently count down the days together! Only difference is I pass Jane's yard twice a day to see to my horses so I can see my mare every day, but I will give Marquessa a little wave from you every day!

we brought a orion os colt last year and i do have to say he has the most fabulous temperament,and i can,t wait untill he can be ridden.
